Sold price on a listing

  • Sold prices on our website are supplied by the selling agent, PropTrack or from the Valuer General in your state. If you are enquiring about a Victorian property, please refer to LANDATA (Victorian Land Registry).

  • We display sold prices to help people understand property values when they are looking to buy, and to get an indication of property prices when it is time to sell.

  • When an agency marks a listing as 'Sold', they can choose to display or hide the sold price.
Note: If an agent chooses to hide the sold price, it may still appear if the sold price is sourced from a third-party supplier, either before or after settlement.
  • Once a property settles, the Valuer General or LANDATA releases sold price information to the public.

  • This helps to make the property market transparent and can give an indication of Australian property prices for buyers and sellers.

  • At this point, the sold price remains on our website as we use this public information to provide a comprehensive source of sales information to our website users.
