- If a tap is leaking significantly (fills a standard 9L bucket in less than an 8 hour period) or has broken off and water is coming out, or a pipe has burst and water is coming out, please turn off the main water supply to your property until a plumber can arrive.
- The main water supply to the property is usually located in a black box in the ground on the footpath outside the property. It may also be located within the property, or above ground. There will be a lever or tap that you can turn to shut off the water supply.

- This is considered emergency maintenance so the following steps should be taken after shutting off the water:
- Report the issue immediately into the Console Tenant App
- Call the office to advise you have lodged emergency maintenance. (If no answer leave a voicemail)
- If this occurs outside office hours, call one of the emergency plumbers listed on your lease. If you cannot reach any of the nominated emergency plumbers listed on your lease, contact any other plumber and arrange for them to repair the leak.
- The plumber is permitted to repair the cause of the leak ONLY, not complete any other work that can be completed during normal trading hours.
NOTE: Water charges to tenants are $4.105/1000 litres, so a 9L bucket of water costs less than 4c.
