1. Send WORK ORDER to trade to provide measurements for whichever blinds are being replaced at the property.  Include the following information on the workorder:
Please provide measurements of XXX windows/doors at the property so that we can purchase replacement blinds.  Please provide the following information:
  • Room of the window/door
  • Is it a window or a door?
  • Whether the dimension provided is inner or outer (inner dimensions for windows - unless there is a reason it could not be installed that way and needs to be face fitted, in which case I would then need outer dimension) 
  • Measurement (width x height)
EXAMPLE: Kitchen window (inner) 1200w x 800h

The trade will then provide these measurements and an invoice for the time taken to provide the measurements.

2. Send a QUOTE REQUEST (at the same time as the above work order) for a quote to remove & dispose of existing blinds and install new blinds supplied by owner.

The trade will then provide a quote for this work.  They may only be able to provide an estimate for the install as there may be some windows/doors with multiple blinds to be installed, so they can provide an estimate of  $X per blind if that is better for them.  This will at least give the owner an idea of cost.

Once the quote has been received, we can forward it to the owner with the details of the cost of the blinds attached.
