At the end of your tenancy, your rental bond is refunded through the Residential Tenancies Authority (RTA).
Before the bond is finalised, Robert James Realty will complete the exit process and identify any outstanding amounts or issues that may need to be claimed from the bond.
A bond claim may include amounts such as unpaid rent, water charges, tenant-caused damage or cleaning/rectification costs for which the tenant is responsible.
If everyone agrees on how the bond is to be distributed, the refund can be processed through RTA Web Services or the Refund of Rental Bond (Form 4).
If Robert James Realty makes a claim against the bond, supporting evidence must be provided to the tenant within the applicable RTA timeframe.
If you disagree with a bond claim, you can dispute it through the RTA. If the matter cannot be resolved through the RTA dispute resolution process, it may proceed to QCAT for a decision.
