Do not attempt to adjust springs, cables, motors or other mechanical components yourself.
Before reporting a garage door or automatic gate fault, please complete these basic checks:
- Check whether there is power to the opener.
- Check the switchboard for a tripped breaker or safety switch.
- Replace the remote-control battery if required.
- Try another remote if one is available.
- Check that nothing is obstructing the door, gate, tracks or safety sensors.
- If fitted with safety sensors, make sure they are clean and unobstructed.
If the door or gate is making unusual noises, has come off its track, has a broken cable or spring, or appears unsafe, stop operating it and report it through the Console Tenant App with clear photos. If a contractor attends and the problem is found to be a flat remote battery, an obstruction, tenant damage or another tenant-responsibility issue, the tenant may be responsible for the call-out cost.
